Shoshana Kanzaki was a participant with JCYC programs since childhood, and has worked with JCYC children’s programs for a total of 12 years, ten of which have been with the Chibi Chan preschool program. She obtained her B.A. in Child Development from San Jose State University and possesses all the qualifications required by the California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing. In her capacity as Director, Shoshana has been the creative and driving force in the expansion plan of the preschool. She has been involved in planning the physical environment of the new site, the expanded program to include age-appropriate curriculum for 2 to 5 year olds, hiring of new staff, liaison to Rose Court staff, the development of a marketing plan, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of both the preschool and toddler programs. Shoshana likes working at JCYC because of the diverse array of children and youth programs that it provides. JCYC is always looking to expand its services where there is a need. During her spare time she enjoys spending quality time with her twin boys’ Makai and Makoi.
