Cultural Competency Resources

AYPS, in an effort to provide culturally competent services to youth, offers a series of presentations that inform about our target populations. Along with educating providers about the history, culture, and diversity of API populations, these presentations also offer a comprehensive overview of specialized needs within the API community.

Individual presentations about the Pacific Islander, Southeast Asian, Chinese and Filipino communities are available. Furthermore, AYPS has resources about the Asian American Recovery Services’ (AARS) “Project Reconnect” and the Japanese Community Youth Council’s spectrum of services on hand.
